Granddad and Grandmother had a need for a playground to entertain the grandchildren and their friends. The existing back yard was full of weeds,
insects and sprinkler heads. It was dirty when it was dry and muddy when it was wet. Because of the three magnificent oak trees in the yard, the grass
could barely survive, despite the cost of water, fertilizer, seeding and mowing. The grandchildren had a hard time even standing up on the sloping
terrain...in short, the yard was a liability, not an asset and the kids did not want to come over because we "had no place to play".
Solution: Granddad & Grandmother decided to build a playground area that would be both functional and safe. They decided to level the area with
landscaping blocks and install the Turf Yards Playground System. The system included a layer of drainage stone and artificial turf in-filled with a two
inch layer of crumb rubber. They incorporated various designs and children's games into the turf using different colors available from Turf Yards.
Update: Now the grandchildren would rather play in Granddad's yard than their own.
